Hi, I’m Sarah
I come from a long line of wounded mothers and I did not realize the power these wounds would have on my own mental health journey to motherhood. However, with holistic physical and spiritual healing, a strong sense of community, and a powerhouse team of mental health healers, I was able to evolve into a stronger version of myself and a more engaged and present mother. I now have the vision of helping other mamas move through their own unique journeys and find the light (and beauty) on the other side! Let me help you shift your perinatal and postpartum journey to one that is spiritually, emotionally, and psychologically aligned, abundant and fulfilling.
More about Sarah.
My clinical framework is deeply rooted in attachment theory, emphasizing the intricate and vital mother-child relationship. It's striking how easily society trivializes the journey of conceiving, birthing, and nurturing a child, assuming that a healthy baby equates to a perfectly aligned mother, regardless of her physical and emotional challenges. This oversight regarding maternal mental health is a significant loss for our society, as failing to honor the mother's experience diminishes our ability to truly honor the child and family. The reality is that motherhood is a complex journey, often portrayed simplistically by society, leaving women feeling forgotten or disconnected in the postpartum period, almost like an afterthought.
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over a decade of experience in sexual health, I merge my professional expertise with my personal journey through motherhood and the postpartum period, offering empathetic support as you navigate this profound transformation. Drawing from cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and schema therapy, my aim is to help you find acceptance and validation for your experiences, fostering a sense of safety as you navigate the diverse facets of motherhood.
